• Service Explanation:
  • Serve needy families in our church
  • Serve needy families through other community churches or organizations such as Salvation Army
  • Collect donations for foodbank
  • Collect donations to sponsor children though organizations such as Coptic Orphans
  • Service through women shelters to see their needs.
  • Hungry for hope (Dalia to talk with Maro Habib to see if we can revive)
  • Shelter/Community kitchen volunteering
  • Gift cards for the needy instead of physical gifts
• Youth who can service in this include: Alfred, Maro, Dido, Rony, Martin, Carol K., Selvana, Magdalia, Jomana, Marina Ghaly, Alex, Matthew
• Maintenance of discretion is of utmost importance.
• Possible to enroll Senior services under this service.
  • Managed by uncle Magdy Zakhary. Get his involvement and advise. (George) to discuss with him.
  • There may be need for volunteers to drop-off items (groceries etc.)
  • The service can grow as follows:
    • Doctor appointments
    • Medical tests/xrays
    • Offering rides for errands
    • Giving company to a lonely senior (e.g. 1 hour per week)
• All good with the name "Good Samaritan Service" possibly "Good Samaritan Ministry"
• How do we announce and market this service?
  • (George) to speak to Reda on the concept of starting a donation account specific for Good Samaritan
  • Announce to the servants group.
  • (Dalia) Create a "marketing" video by the youth to encourage people to donate to this service as well as encourage other youth to join.
  • (Hanaa) Create a "brochure or 3-fold" which captures the essence of the service as a way to communicate what it is about.
